Real estate lawyer Lisa Frey was quoted in an article by Vancouver Magazine titled, 'Strata Squeeze: Could Florida's Condo Collapse Happen in Vancouver?' The article discussed the difficulty in maintaining aging condos that can often require significant repairs while keeping strata fees low. 

In the article, Lisa commented on the difficulty in getting older stratas insured amid escalating costs, “One of our property management clients called us and said, ‘What do we do? What happens if this building has no insurance? What is our liability?'”
