Lawson Lundell lawyer Flora Griffith was quoted in an article published in the Vancouver Sun. The article, "COVID-19: Travel agent sues clients for $5,000 airfare after Air Canada cancels," examines a small claims court case where the travel agent sued a B.C. family for unused flights during the beginning of the pandemic. The Civil Resolution Tribunal ruled in favour of “frustration of contract" because the pandemic made it impossible for the B.C. family to fly home on their original return flights.

“Frustration (of contract) is very hard to reach.” Flora said. “For a consumer, (this case) will be of limited help.”
