Biography

Elizabeta Cubaleska is a paralegal in the Kelowna office of Lawson Lundell. She joined the firm in 2024 and has over 25 years of combined experience working in Intellectual Property field including protection of patents, trademarks, and designs.

In addition to protection of patents, trademarks, and designs, which are her area of focus, she has worked in other fields such as technology transfer, legal agreements, and commercialization. She completed Patent Agent Training Course with Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, has Graduate Certificate for Commercialization of Science and Technology from Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, and B.A.Sc. in Chemistry, from St. Cyril and Methodius University from her native Macedonia.

Experience

Elizabeta’s responsibilities include:

  • Prepare of correspondence and legal documentation relating to patents and trademarks;
  • Prepare and file patent applications direct with CIPO, USPTO, WIPO and indirectly with foreign patent offices worldwide;
  • Assist with prosecution of patent applications;
  • Compile, verify, record, process prosecution documents; and
  • Communicate with clients, legal counsels and all other related parties.
