CLEBC Real Estate: Commercial Lending 2025: Strategies and best practices in commercial lending

Lawson Lundell lawyer Angela Austman will be giving a presentation at the CLEBC Real Estate: Commercial Lending 2025 webinar. Her topic is 'Structuring Mortgage Investment Corporations in Canada.' She will cover several areas, including qualifying as a MIC and capital structure, fees and economics, registration requirements, and capital raising requirements. 

The webinar takes place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 9am to 4pm (PST). In addition to Angela's presentation, topics will include: how to determine who are the parties, acting for borrowers in commercial loans, providing opinions, title insurance issues, competing interests, guarantees and covenants, general security agreements, construction financing, and priority agreements. 

The course qualifies attendees for six CPD hours by the Law Society of BC.
