Partner Jim Fraser to Speak at Annual Canadian Property Tax Association Workshop
Lawson Lundell partner Jim Fraser will be speaking at the Canadian Property Tax Association’s (CPTA) 60th Annual National Workshop.
The workshop is taking place from October 4 to 7, 2026, at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
This year’s national workshop, themed "Strength in Numbers," gathers leading professionals across the property tax and assessment fields to discuss emerging trends, market shifts and legal developments shaping the industry.
On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 10:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the British Ballroom, Jim will join a panel of leading property tax lawyers for the session, "It All Adds Up: The Top 5 Property Tax Cases Every Professional Should Know."
The panel will revisit five seminal Canadian property tax decisions that continue to influence valuation principles, statutory interpretation and litigation strategy. Designed for practitioners at all career stages, the session provides both a practical refresher for experienced professionals and a foundational overview for those newer to property assessment and taxation law.
