Brendan Craig to teach Law and Development in UDI’s Real Estate & Development Management Program
On January 7, 2026, Lawson Lundell lawyer Brendan Craig will teach Law and Development, a course focused on the legal aspects of real estate development, as part of UDI’s Real Estate and Development Management Program (RaD Program).
The course examines the legislative and contractual framework that shapes real estate development in British Columbia. Participants will gain practical insight into key real estate legislation, municipal agreements, the legal aspects of subdivisions, and common legal risks that arise throughout the development process. The course is designed for new developers and builders, as well as consultants, planners, and others involved in reviewing, negotiating, or managing development agreements.
Brendan’s practice focuses on advising clients on a broad range of real property matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, rezoning, subdivision, financing, commercial leasing, and development throughout British Columbia. He regularly assists with corporate and partnership structuring, drafting and negotiating partnership, joint venture, and shareholder agreements, and has acted as lead development counsel on significant projects such as multi-tower mixed-use buildings and residential developments. Brendan also provides real estate support for major financial institutions and advises on complex issues involving Crown land, First Nations interests, and infrastructure-related projects.
