Megan Kaneen to Speak at Canadian Bar Association's "Anatomy of an Annuity Purchase" Event

On November 13, 2025, Lawson Lundell lawyer Megan Kaneen will speak at the latest online event hosted by the CBA-BC Pension & Benefits Law Section, "Anatomy of an Annuity Purchase."  

The event will provide an overview of the annuity purchase process for pension plans in Canada. Megan Kaneen and co-presenter Taylor Buckley walk through these transactions from both the insurance company’s and the pension plan sponsor’s perspectives. The speakers will shed light on key considerations, risks, and best practices involved in securing retiree benefits through buy-in and buy-out annuity purchases.
