Lawson Lundell is proud to share that Cecilia Barnes will be moderating one of the upcoming CAN-TECH panels early next month.
The CAN-TECH Law Spring Conference is set for June 4, 2026. This year, the national program focuses on preparing junior to mid-level technology lawyers for the realities of modern practice.
As counsel in our Corporate Commercial and Technology Group, a member of the CAN-TECH Board of Directors, and a 2025 CAN-TECH Rising Star, Cecilia brings invaluable perspectives to the table. Her experience gives her an understanding of how organizations evaluate, implement, and scale technology-driven solutions. She will be moderating the in-person panel located in Vancouver. Her session, titled "Modernizing Technology Contract Clauses," will focus on addressing the complexities of tech contracts and the ever-changing industry.
The conference will feature live, in-person panels broadcast across all five satellite locations (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Halifax, and Montreal). Attendees at each location will experience one live panel and stream the remaining sessions via webcast, covering critical topics such as:
- Tech Transactions: Key skills for handling complex deals and navigating them if things go wrong.
- Privacy Law: A critical exploration of the current and future landscape.
- Career Development: Practical guidance for both in-house and in-firm lawyers building a successful career in tech law.
Whether you join in-person or online, this is an opportunity to learn, gain insight, and network with peers across the country.
