Murray Campbell Appointed to the Canadian Institute of Actuaries’ Actuarial Profession Oversight Board
Lawson Lundell lawyer Murray Campbell has been appointed to the Canadian Institute of Actuaries’ Actuarial Profession Oversight Board (APOB) for a three-year term beginning January 1, 2026.
APOB provides independent oversight of the actuarial profession in Canada, thereby supporting public confidence in the actuarial profession’s standards and regulatory activities. Members of the Board bring diverse perspectives and experience to the oversight of actuarial practice in Canada.
As one of Canada’s leading pension and benefit lawyers, Murray has decades of experience working with actuaries on the pension and benefit plans they mutually serve. Murray’s appointment reflects this broad experience and his thoughtful approach to matters affecting regulated professions and the public interest.
