Lawson Lundell is pleased to announce that its Insolvency & Restructuring team has received Social Interest Restructuring of the Year at the inaugural Canadian Insolvency Awards.
The award honours restructurings with meaningful implications for the public good, focusing on impact rather than deal size. It was awarded for the restructuring of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Vancouver–Fraser Branch, a public-interest matter that prioritized continuity of essential mental health and housing services across the Lower Mainland. The restructuring preserved service delivery, housing stability, and employment while addressing significant financial distress.
The Canadian Insolvency Awards recognize exceptional cases and outcomes across Canada’s insolvency and restructuring community. Winners were selected by an independent judging panel based on execution, impact, and broader significance to the profession.
Congratulations to Baylee Hunt and William Roberts, and to all professionals involved.
