Lawson Lundell Advises CAI Capital Partners and The Universal Group on Run of Strategic Acquisitions

Lawson Lundell is pleased to have advised CAI Capital Partners (“CAI”) and its portfolio company, The Universal Group (“Universal”), on three significant strategic acquisitions in the past six months across Canada and Oregon State: Barricades and Signs, Airmaster Sales and D&H Flagging.

Lawson Lundell acted as lead legal advisor to CAI and Universal on all matters in respect of these transactions. Lawson Lundell’s team on each transaction was led by Andrew Kemp and included Crystal Szeto, Katherine Zhou, Megan Mussenden, Greg Hollingsworth, Jyotika Reddy, Andrew Mildenhall and Devin Itterman.

Headquartered in Langley, British Columbia, Universal is now solidified as the largest traffic management and control services provider in Canada. These acquisitions expand Universal’s offering  of traffic control personnel, lane closure services, traffic control equipment, traffic management plans, road maintenance and other services across Canada and bolster Universal’s expansion into the Pacific Northwest of the United States.
