Lawson Lundell lawyer Candace Formosa has been elected to the Executive of the Vancouver Bar Association.
Candace is a civil and commercial litigator with extensive experience advising clients on a wide range of matters, including contractual disputes, tort claims, real estate disputes, defamation, and insolvency and restructuring issues. She handles disputes involving shareholders, complex contracts, real estate, misappropriation of funds, and insolvent companies. Candace has represented clients in domestic arbitrations, tribunal proceedings, and before all levels of court in British Columbia and the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta.
The Vancouver Bar Association is an over 1,000 member strong organization serving lawyers and the legal community in the Vancouver area. Since 1892, the VBA has sought to promote and foster collegiality and civility among its members, and at the bar, hosting several annual networking events; promoting legal education, training and ethics; engaging in charitable giving; and publishing a legal journal.
