Lawson Lundell lawyers Shannon Hayes and Scott Lucyk will speak at the 2025 CanArbWeek in Montréal

On June 9 and 10, 2025, Lawson Lundell lawyers Shannon Hayes, KC, FCIArb. and Scott Lucyk, FCIArb. will speak at the 2025 CanArbWeek conference in Montréal. Taking place over three days, June 8-10, at the Saint-James Club in Montréal, the conference will cover a myriad of topics, with each session addressing a key issue of arbitral practice

On June 9, Shannon will participate in a panel discussion titled, ‘Disclosure in Arbitration: Striking the Balance between Fairness and Efficiency.’ The panel will explore how tribunals decide whether to grant or deny requests for disclosure on which the parties cannot agree, examine a series of disclosure stalemate scenarios, and share current arbitration practice guidance, resources, and trends. 

On June 10, Scott will join panel discussion titled, ‘Corruption in your case? How would you know, and what would you do?’ The panel will discuss how to identify and manage corruption issues, covering key topics such as the evidence needed to prove corruption, an arbitrator’s duty to investigate, and the impact of criminal proceedings and the enforcement of arbitral awards.
