Grant Vogeli, QC, Michael Donaldson, Shannon Wray, Shannon Hayes, Kelly Hannan, Marika Strobl and Jonathan Selnes have joined the firm from a leading firm in Calgary where they represented significant clients in a range of industries and matters, including power, energy, oil and gas, real estate and securities litigation.

Mike has practiced energy, commercial, and securities litigation and commercial arbitration in Calgary for over 20 years. He has extensive experience with claims in Alberta’s electricity, petrochemical, and oil & gas industries. Mike has appeared as counsel before all Alberta Courts, the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Canada, and the Alberta and B.C. Securities Commissions as well as in dozens of private commercial arbitrations.

Her primary practice area is energy and power industry disputes. She has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta and has acted in many private arbitrations.

Kelly practices commercial litigation with a focus on energy, securities, and tax litigation. Kelly has argued cases at all levels of court in Alberta, the Tax Court of Canada, and the Alberta Securities Commission. Kelly has experience in resolving disputes through trials and arbitrations, and assists clients in strategically navigating their way through complex problems in a practical and cost-effective way.

Marika’s practice focuses on complex corporate/commercial litigation and arbitration, with a particular emphasis on energy and natural resources disputes and complex breach of contract claims in all contexts, including joint venture agreements, purchase and sale agreements, long-term supply agreements, and others. In addition to dispute resolution expertise, Marika is regularly consulted by clients to advise on and identify dispute-related risks a before a dispute materializes or where a potential dispute is on the horizon.
