“I am proud to be joining a law firm that holds a prominent history, as well as a commitment to teamwork and mentorship.”

Ben Westerterp is a student in the Vancouver Office. He is interested in exploring all practice areas during his articles with the firm, with a focus on commercial law.

During law school, Ben worked as a caseworker with the Queen’s Elder Law Clinic to prepare wills and power of attorney for residents in South Eastern Ontario. He was also a caseworker for UBC’s Law Students’ Legal Advice Program (LSLAP) where he provided legal assistance in the Downtown Eastside community of Vancouver. Ben spent his final year of law school at the Peter A. Allard School of Law.

Prior to law school, Ben worked as a contaminated sites officer as well as a chemicals research and monitoring coordinator for Environment and Climate Change Canada. He enjoys exploring the hiking and Nordic ski trails in and around Vancouver whenever he gets the chance.
