Ben maintains a litigation and regulatory practice in Lawson Lundell’s Vancouver office. His litigation practice primarily focuses on administrative and public law, but he is also exposed to a broad range of civil litigation matters. His regulatory practice includes advising clients on complicated legislative frameworks in industries such as mining and energy.
Ben summered at the firm in 2021 while completing his Juris Doctor at Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law with a specialization in Aboriginal and Indigenous Law. After law school Ben clerked at the Tax Court of Canada. Following his clerkship, he pursued a Masters of Law at McGill’s Faculty of Law with a focus on scoping the Aboriginal right of self-governance.
Following his Masters, Ben joined the firm as a lawyer in 2024 and returned as an Associate in 2026. He has supported clients at various stages of the litigation process, including appearing before the Supreme Court of British Columbia. He also assists clients by providing guidance regarding a variety of regulatory schemes, such as project permitting and approvals before a range of decision-makers.
