Lawson Lundell LLP partner Lisa Frey will co-lead the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI) BC Chapter’s upcoming Condo 101 course. The educational session is designed to equip strata councils in British Columbia with the knowledge to perform duties and navigate the complexities of strata governance.
Experienced strata lawyers teach the course and provide an overview of the duties, obligations, and procedures essential for council members or those interested in joining a council. The curriculum covers the legal elements of stratas, the various responsibilities of a strata corporation, administration, finance, insurance and the proper procedures for conducting strata corporation meetings.
Lisa Frey is a partner at Lawson Lundell whose practice focuses on condominium development and strata governance, including the drafting of bylaws and resolutions. She advises on commercial real estate matters and has been an active member of the CCI BC Chapter since 2014. Her experience in the sector ensures participants receive practical and legally sound guidance on managing strata communities.
The session is a free Zoom webinar from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PST on March 30.
This event offers an opportunity for strata council members to get an understanding of operations and governance in BC.
