Kate Bartel is an associate in the Real Estate group in the Calgary office. She assists clients with a broad range of matters, including real estate acquisition and disposition, development, commercial leasing, and financing.
Kate first joined the firm as a summer student in 2023 and became an associate following the completion of her articles in 2026.
Kate completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law, where she was the recipient of the faculty’s largest entrance scholarship. She was on the Dean’s List each year of law school and earned the Hope and Ian McLaren Cook, Sr. Scholarship for her performance in Oil and Gas Law. Kate was also an executive member of the University of Calgary Technology and Law Association throughout law school.
Prior to attending law school, Kate obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Life Sciences from Queen’s University.
