Tim’s practice focuses on commercial real estate matters with a particular emphasis on real estate development and complex commercial real estate lease negotiating and drafting. He is a member of the firm’s Asia Pacific Group.
Tim advises on the purchase, finance, development and sale of residential, commercial, mixed-used and industrial properties. On the development side, he advises clients on compliance matters related to the Real Estate Development Marketing Act, reviews and negotiates municipality agreements as part of the development permitting process, assists developers with their construction financing and deposit protection insurance facilities, and has experience implementing complex airspace parcel subdivisions for mixed-use development projects.
Tim also routinely assists landlords and tenants in preparing, negotiating and settling commercial leases for various commercial properties ranging from open-air shopping centers to office tower complexes with local, national and international tenants and landlords.
In Tim's corporate and commercial practice, he assists clients with corporate and partnership structuring and reorganizations for real estate development projects and reviews and negotiates construction contracts and pre-sale marketing agreements.
Tim was born in Hong Kong, raised in Richmond, and educated in Ontario and British Columbia. He is passionate about real estate development and regularly assists local and international developers and investors in Vancouver and beyond by utilizing his expertise and experience to deliver effective and efficient solutions to his client’s real estate matters.
