Lucas Soper

Lucas has experience working with clients in a broad range of litigation and regulatory matters across a series of industries, including energy, mining and forestry. He has appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Provincial Court of British Columbia.

Lucas joined the firm as a summer student in 2023 and became an associate after completing his articles in 2025. He earned his Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University in 2024, where he obtained certificates in Indigenous and Aboriginal Law, and Environmental Law. During law school, Lucas co-coordinated the Dalhousie Youth Legal Education Society’s Consent Project, which teaches youth about the laws of consent and sexual assault. He also worked as a Senior Law Student for Dalhousie Legal Aid Services.

Before his legal career, Lucas played Varsity Baseball at the University of British Columbia and worked as a Traditional Knowledge and Use Studies and Indigenous Health researcher for Indigenous nations, communities, and organizations.
