Katie Sykes

Katie Sykes is counsel with the Research & Opinions Group. Her practice focuses on a wide range of areas, including corporate law, real estate law, administrative law and property taxation law. As a research lawyer, she assists clients with creative solutions to complex legal problems.

In addition to her work with Lawson Lundell, Katie is Professor of Law at Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law, where she teaches courses including Tort Law and Corporate Governance. She researches and writes on innovation in law, the future of the legal profession, and animal law.

From 2004 to 2010, Katie practiced in New York at Cleary Gottlieb, where her practice focused on executive compensation and public company corporate governance. From 2003 to 2004, she was clerk to Justice Louis LeBel of the Supreme Court of Canada.
