Jane is a civil litigator in the Vancouver office of Lawson Lundell LLP, with experience in complex commercial litigation, appeals, and municipal disputes.
Jane has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia, including as lead trial counsel, and has represented clients on leave applications before the Supreme Court of Canada. She has particular experience in the following areas:
- shareholder disputes and transactional litigation;
- complex breach of contract and trust claims;
- municipal zoning, development, and other land-use disputes;
- all aspects of property tax litigation, including valuation and classification, exemptions, property transfer tax, foreign buyers’ tax, and speculation and vacancy tax;
- pension and benefits litigation; and
- appeals and judicial review of administrative decisions.
Jane was called to the bar in 2020, after clerking for two Justices of the Court of Appeal for British Columbia. She earned her law degree from the University of Victoria, where she was a member of the winning team in a competitive moot and received several academic awards.
In addition to her litigation practice, Jane coaches the Wilson Moot team at Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law.
