Stefan is an associate in the Calgary office of Lawson Lundell and a member of the Corporate Commercial Group. In his practice Stefan assists clients across a wide range of matters, including share and asset acquisitions and dispositions, corporate reorganizations, financings, and other corporate and securities law matters. Stefan also has experience drafting and reviewing various types of commercial agreements.

Stefan started at Lawson Lundell as a summer student in 2020 and joined the firm as an associate upon the completion of his articles in 2023.

Experience

Experience

  • Acting for NuVista Energy Ltd. on the establishment of its partnership with Niyanin Nations LP to build and jointly own a majority interest in a 15-megawatt cogeneration unit at the Wembley Gas Plant near Grande Prairie.
  • Acting for Pason Systems Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of publicly traded Pason Systems Inc., in its exercise of its call option to acquire all of the remaining issued and outstanding common shares of Intelligent Wellhead Systems, Inc. not currently held by Pason for total consideration of $88.3 million. Pason also assumed approximately $7 million in Intelligent Wellhead Systems, Inc. debt.
  • Acting for Mueller Industries in its transfer of Canadian subsidiaries to a joint venture with The Mosack Group (2022 (Die Mold Tools Ltd.) and 2023 (Heat Link Group)).
  • Acting for an engineering consulting company on the acquisition of a Calgary-based automation company.
  • Acting for a Western Canadian insurance broker on multiple acquisitions of other retail insurance brokerage businesses.
