Chelsea Colwill is an articling student in the Vancouver office at Lawson Lundell. Chelsea Colwill returns to Lawson Lundell after clerking at the Tax Court of Canada. She is called to both the British Columbia and Ontario bar. She is engaging in an internal articling program to round out her experience articling at the Tax Court. At the Tax Court, Chelsea worked closely with judges on cases involving individual and corporate income taxation as well as sales tax.

Chelsea received her J.D. from UBC and her H.B.A. from the University of Toronto. Before clerking, Chelsea worked as a research assistant for Professor David Duff assisting with his international tax textbook. She was a clinician at the Business Law Clinic where she assisted in incorporating a start-up and drafting contracts for clients. Chelsea was also involved in the UBC Law Review, the Allard Law Business Society and the Career Committee.  Prior to law school, Chelsea worked at a startup AI company making legal tools for lawyers where she worked on Canadian and US tax products as well as employment law products.

Outside of work, Chelsea enjoys reading, oat milk flat whites and getting outdoors.
