Lawson Lundell Nominee Roger Chouinard Wins 2022 Western Canada General Counsel of the Year Award
Congratulations to Roger J. Chouinard, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, QuadReal Property Group, on being named the 2022 Western Canada General Counsel of the Year at the Western Canada General Counsel Awards (WCGCA). Lawson Lundell was delighted to co-nominate Roger for this award, along with a number of other firms.
We were also pleased to see two of our other nominees listed as finalists in their categories - Patricia Bood, SVP & General Counsel, Legal Affairs at the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation was a finalist for Western Canada General Counsel of the Year, and Mark Gustafson, Vice President, Legal, Risk and Compliance at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority was a finalist for the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) award.
The WCGCA ceremony was held on November 8 at the Fairmont Palliser in Calgary. The bi-annual event recognizes excellence in Western Canada’s in-house counsel community, with seven general counsel receiving awards in different categories.
