Lawson Lundell is pleased to announce that our former managing partner, Cliff Proudfoot, KC, has been named Managing Partner of the Year at the 2026 Canadian Law Awards.
Cliff served as the firm’s Managing Partner from 2016 through the end of 2025. This recognition serves as a tribute to his leadership, vision, and impact that he fostered within our firm and the broader Canadian legal community throughout his tenure.
In addition to this individual honour, the firm was proud to be recognized as an "Excellence Awardee" in the following categories:
- Regional Law Firm of the Year (Western Canada): Lawson Lundell
- Female Trailblazer of the Year (Private Practice): Shailaz Dhalla
The 2026 Canadian Law Awards ceremony took place on May 5, 2026, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The event celebrates the firms, in-house departments, and individuals who helped shape the Canadian legal landscape throughout the 2025 calendar year.
