Lawson Lundell lawyer Laura Duke participated in a panel discussion at The Advocates’ Society 2025 Fall Convention titled, 'Lightning Round: Cases We Think Will Change The Way We Practice.' The convention was held at The Waldorf Astoria in Costa Rica from November 12-16.
The Fall Convention is an opportunity for members of The Advocates’ Society to network with their peers and learn about the latest changes and trends in advocacy. Discussion topics included family law, trauma informed lawyering, commissions and inquiries, and the specialised commercial court.
The Advocates’ Society is a national, not-for-profit organization for Canadian litigators that promotes excellence in advocacy and professionalism within the justice system. It achieves this through training and professional development, public interest advocacy on legal and policy issues, and by providing a forum for social and collegial events for its members.
