Scott leverages his extensive experience engaging with communities to build strong relationships with clients participating in environmental assessments and other regulatory proceedings. In addition to working with communities, Scott has experience in workplace investigations, policy development and project management.
Scott has a long history of working with different cultures in remote and challenging environments, including Sudan, Zimbabwe and Botswana. In Botswana, Scott led development of a community centered sustainable tourism initiative and succeeded in transforming conflict between the community and the company into a collaborative and respectful relationship.
Scott earned his Juris Doctor (Distinction) from the University of Alberta and was awarded the Norman J. Pollock Prize in Advocacy for his outstanding advocacy performance. While at law school Scott was on the Executive of the Indigenous Law Students’ Association and enjoyed volunteering with Student Legal Services Criminal Law and Human Rights projects.
