Melissa Nichol is the Director of Human Resources at Lawson Lundell LLP, where she oversees all aspects of the firm’s human resources function, including payroll, benefits, and employee relations.
With more than 20 years of HR experience in complex and dynamic environments, Melissa has been part of senior leadership teams since 2020. She has led both established and developing teams, notably expanding the size and capacity of a health sector HR team during the pandemic. Her expertise spans strategy, policy development, compensation, and organizational growth, with a focus on building strong, collaborative relationships across all levels of the firm. Melissa takes a practical and business-focused approach to human resources, fostering trust and aligning HR strategy with organizational needs.
Outside of work, Melissa is an avid scuba diver and enjoys planning her next undersea adventure.
