Matthew Wu

Matthew Wu is an articling student in the Calgary office of Lawson Lundell. He is interested in exploring multiple practice areas with a particular interest in the firm’s corporate commercial practice.

Matthew earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta. During law school, he served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Alberta Law Review, volunteered with Student Legal Services in the Criminal Law Division, and contributed as an editor for Canons of Construction. He was also nominated to compete in the Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin 1L Moot and received the Donich Law Entrepreneurial Award and the University of Alberta Opportunities Award in Law.

Prior to law school, Matthew worked in legal and financial roles at WorkSafeBC and the Public Guardian and Trustee of British Columbia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a Minor in Law and Society from the University of British Columbia.
