
Maggie is a summer student in Lawson Lundell’s Vancouver office. She is interested in a wide range of corporate legal work, including wealth planning and estates, real estate, tax, banking, bankruptcy and mergers and acquisitions.
Before joining Lawson Lundell, Maggie worked as a legal assistant, legal receptionist, file clerk and summer student at prominent firms in both Vancouver and Toronto. Throughout her undergraduate degree, Maggie worked in fundraising, recruitment and advancement for the University of Toronto and coached competitive debate and public speaking at an international level.
Maggie is currently working towards her Juris Doctor at Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law. At law school she served as Vice President of External Affairs to the Law Student’s Society, representing the law students to various organizations, including the Dalhousie Student Union, Canadian Bar Association, Nova Scotia Barristers Society, and Dalhousie Law Alumni Association. She is also a Co-Coordinator of the largest Wills and Estates Pro-Bono Clinic in Atlantic Canada, which assists low-income seniors by providing them with wills, personal directives and power of attorney documents.
Prior to attending law school, she completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto, where she studied in English and Philosophy and founded Trinity College’s Chess Club. She graduated with honours and high distinction and was awarded a scholarship for academic achievement.
