Deonte is an articling student in the Kelowna office of Lawson Lundell. He is interested in exploring multiple practice areas with a particular interest in the firm’s commercial litigation and technology practice.
Deonte completed his Juris Doctor at Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law. During law school, Deonte was president of TRU’s HoopLaw Team, which saw the team win back-to-back awards for the highest fundraising law school in the tournament and worked as a Teaching Assistant for First Year Constitutional Courses, and as a Research Assistant for the Dean’s Office.
Deonte spent his 1L summer working with the Ontario Secondary School Federation as part of their in-house counsel team. In his third year, Deonte competed in the Kawaskimhon National Aboriginal Moot, In Windsor, Ontario. Deonte was the Valedictorian of his graduating class at TRU Faculty of Law.
