Stephen is a business lawyer practicing in the areas of debt financing and corporate and commercial law, advising clients across a broad range of industries, including real estate, energy, forestry, transportation, professional services and technology.
Within his debt financing practice, Stephen acts for domestic and international borrowers and lenders, including private lenders, financial institutions, and individuals, on a broad range of debt financing matters such as real estate financing, acquisition financing, and project financing.
Stephen’s corporate and commercial practice involves advising clients on share and asset acquisitions and dispositions, corporate structuring matters, and drafting and negotiating commercial agreements on behalf of clients. Stephen also assists clients with the acquisition, disposition and leasing of commercial real estate.
As a member of the Asia Pacific Group, Stephen works closely with Cantonese and Mandarin-speaking lawyers, paralegals and staff in order to effectively serve Chinese clients. Prior to joining Lawson Lundell LLP, Stephen acted as senior corporate counsel for British Columbia’s largest energy marketing and trading company.
