Michelle Casey

Michelle’s practice is focused on regulatory, administrative and public law litigation, with an emphasis on environmental, Indigenous, public utility, and health and safety matters.  Michelle regularly assists clients in both judicial and tribunal proceedings.  Michelle has experience in all levels of court in British Columbia, both levels of the Federal Court, various administrative tribunal, and arbitrations.  Michelle also advise clients on provincial and federal regulatory regimes, assists clients undergoing regulatory investigation, and defends clients in regulatory penalty matters.  She has a particular interest in, and experience advising clients on, provincial and federal lobbying matters.

Michelle started with Lawson Lundell as a summer student in 2016 and joined the firm as an associate upon the completion of her articles in 2018.

Michelle is a co-author of the textbook “The Law of Regulatory Investigations in Canada”, which was published in March 2023.
