Jennifer Hunt-Poitras is an associate at the Yellowknife office of Lawson Lundell LLP. She practices general civil and commercial litigation and labour, employment and human rights Law. She has experience assisting public and private sector clients with commercial disputes, workplace investigations, human rights disputes and matters involving administrative and Indigenous law.
Jennifer started with Lawson Lundell as a summer student in 2017. Prior to joining Lawson Lundell, Jennifer worked for many years as an investigative journalist with the Canadian Broadcast Corporation. She was also the Director of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Inuit Sub-Commission, where she developed extensive connections throughout all three northern territories. Jennifer was raised in Pond Inlet, Nunavut and speaks and writes fluently in Inuktitut.
