Linda Oishi is a paralegal in the Vancouver office of Lawson Lundell LLP. She has been with the firm since January 1981 and works in the Insolvency and Restructuring and Litigation practice groups. With over 35 years of paralegal work experience, she started her position as litigation legal assistant and transitioned into a paralegal position shortly thereafter, maintaining that status since 1982.
Her main focus is within the areas of collections and builders’ liens but has experience in a broad range of other matters related to civil litigation, bankruptcy, pension and employee benefits litigation, commercial landlord and tenant disputes and enforcement of foreign judgments.
Linda’s responsibilities include:
- Managing litigation files for draft pleadings and bills of costs;
- Managing collection files, for drafting pleadings, proceeding to judgment and taking necessary steps in the execution stage for recovery of judgment;
- Preparing and registering claims of builder’s lien, including applicable land searches; and
- Preparing and delivering notices of default with respect to landlord and tenant disputes.
