Alexandra currently practices in the area of civil litigation and dispute resolution. She began her career as a criminal defence lawyer in Vancouver, gaining significant court room experience. After moving to Alberta, Alexandra worked at a boutique civil litigation firm, where she continued to develop strong advocacy skills. Alexandra has appeared in the Provincial Courts of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Ontario, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, and the Federal Court. 

Alexandra advises clients with environmental litigation matters, including with respect to the remediation of contaminated sites. She has completed regulatory prosecutions and has advised clients under investigation for regulatory and environmental offences. She also has experience advising oil and gas clients with upstream and downstream litigation matters. Her civil law experience includes construction disputes, commercial and shareholder disputes, pensions litigation, product and professional liability, and insurance litigation.

  • Acting for a group of related companies that develop and provide technologies and tools for the oil and gas industry after they acquired the assets of another company in the midst of a defence against an alleged patent infringement of a particular apparatus and method used for fracturing oil and gas wells
  • Representing a large company with respect to allegation made against them of breach of confidentiality agreements and misuse of confidential information
  • Advising and representing a group of large national companies with respect to a constitutional challenge to a municipal bylaw passed by a major Canadian municipality
  • Successfully representing a client in a trial with respect to a dispute involving downstream oil and gas contract and tort issues, including the technical operation of fuel supply, equipment and gas operations
  • Representing a large company in an arbitration involving the appraisal of real property
