Spotlight

"I am excited to be a part of the team at Lawson Lundell because of their extensive professional development opportunities, and commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. The firm’s emphasis on mentorship and a collaborative approach to the practice of law, made Lawson Lundell an ideal place to begin my legal career as a summer student."

Tristan Kimball is a summer student in the Vancouver office of Lawson Lundell LLP.

Prior to joining as a summer student, Tristan worked for the Career Services Office at the Peter A. Allard School of Law where he organized and facilitated events as a liaison between students and legal employers. He has been an active member of the law school community as a volunteer for the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, a clinician for the UBC Innocence Project, and a student representative for the UBC Law Students’ Society on both the Careers and Wellness Committees. Before law school, Tristan gained experience as a brokerage specialist for a structured settlement company in Guelph, Ontario, and as a program coordinator for at-risk youth near his hometown in Kentville, Nova Scotia.

In his spare time, Tristan enjoys thrifting for new outfits, hiking, pickleball, and beach days with friends spent reading or playing spike ball.

Tristan will be returning to the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC in the fall to continue working on his J.D.
