Practices

Sarah assists clients in a variety of insolvency matters and related proceedings. Sarah also routinely appears before the British Columbia Supreme Court and British Columbia Provincial Court acting for clients, including major banks and other financial institutions, in debt recovery, security realization, and foreclosure matters.

    • Harley-Davidson Financial Services Inc. in a variety of asset and debt recovery matters
    • The Bank of Montreal, HSBC Bank Canada, and MCAP Service Corporation in relation to various commercial and residential foreclosure matters
      • An institutional lender in advancing a number of breach of contract and negligence claims
      • The Bank of Montreal and HSBC Bank Canada in prosecuting various debt recovery claims
      • An institutional lender in a number of matters relating to cheque negotiation, including matters relating to cheque-kiting and forged bank drafts 
      • Various clients in the negotiation and preparation of Proposals to creditors pursuant to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act
