Mark's practice focuses on regulatory law and oil and gas transactions. His experience in the regulatory sector includes advising on applications before various regulators including the National Energy Board, the Alberta Utilities Commission, and the Alberta Energy Regulator.
In addition, Mark has assisted on issues pertaining to environmental assessments and licensing requirements, public consultation and aboriginal matters. He also assists the litigation group in drafting pleadings, legal research and oral advocacy. He also provides advice in relation to security realizations and foreclosures.
His transaction services include conducting title review, due diligence, providing advice and documentation in respect of rights of first refusal and advising with respect to mineral and contract conveyancing.
During law school, Mark worked as a research assistant on a project analyzing and interpreting water legislation, jurisdictional issues and public policy issues surrounding rural and urban riparian ecosystems.
