Practices

Julia Winters is an associate in Lawson Lundell’s Vancouver office practicing in the Business Law Group, with a particular interest in corporate and commercial law, private acquisitions, and private equity financing.

Julia assists her clients with a variety of corporate matters, including incorporation, corporate restructuring, continuation, and dissolution. She advises private companies and societies on corporate governance matters. She regularly drafts and reviews a variety of complex commercial contracts, including:

  • purchase and sale agreements
  • shareholders’ agreements
  • commercial leases
  • services agreements
  • investment agreements
  • joint venture agreements
  • limited partnership agreements
 
Julia’s transactional experience includes asset and share purchases, as well as equity financings. She has assisted clients with the purchase and sale of commercial and residential real estate, wineries, hotels, and other businesses, including obtaining acquisition financing. She has also advised a number of target companies, including in the technology and retail industries, in the negotiation of investment rounds to fund their expansion.
