Lawson Lundell wins Lexpert Zenith Award for Corporate and Law Firm Social Responsibility


On September 21, 2011,Rita Andreone, Michael Lee, Brad Armstrong, Q.C., Chris Sanderson, Q.C., Michael Morgan and Sarah Nelligan were named winners of 2011 Lexpert Zenith Awards: Celebrating Corporate and Law Firm Social Responsibility.

Rita Andreone and Michael Lee have been honoured for their outstanding work and long-standing dedication in the area of Corporate Governance. In particular, they were selected as prime examples of practitioners who teach about and lead in the governance of organizations ranging from boards of directors and trustees, to corporations, to not-for profit and community organizations

Brad Armstrong, Q.C., Chris Sanderson Q.C., Michael Morgan and Sarah Nelligan have been recognized with a Zenith Award for their significant contributions to Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV). Lawson Lundell has a longstanding relationship with FSGV. Brad and Chris have served as chairs on the board of directors for the past 13 years, with Chris as current chair. In their work with FSGV, Brad and Chris have helped attain a number of strategic objectives including the purchase of a large property in East Vancouver and the planning, development, launch and operations of the society’s flagship drop-in resource centre for homeless and at-risk youth. Mike and Sarah contribute to FSGV's Money Skills program and hold half day workshops providing advice to participants on insolvency law.

The Lexpert 2011 Zenith Awards honour Canadian law firms, in-house departments and law students who commit their time, skills and mentorship to corporate and law firm social responsibility.

The awards were handed out on September 21, 2011 at a banquet held in Toronto.
