Amy Carruthers Returns to Full-time Practice

Lawson Lundell is pleased to announce that Amy Carruthers has recently returned to full-time practice with the Firm in our Corporate/Commercial Law group, where she will continue her solicitor’s practice with an emphasis on commercial transactions in the resource and energy sectors, and on construction, development and other complex commercial agreements.

Amy also recently presented at the Canadian Institute’s Environmental Law & Regulation North of 60 conference on the topic: "Climate Change Compliance and Beyond: Applying the Regulatory Framework to Commercial Activities and Transactions." Her presentation focused on some of the practical impacts of climate change regulation on various commercial activities such as advertising and disclosure obligations, as well as certain aspects of commercial transactions involving greenhouse gas emissions, credits and offsets.

Amy represents a leading North American power marketer with respect to the purchase and sale of renewable energy credits and other green attributes associated with the generation of renewable energy, and advises clients in resource-based industries with respect to First Nations consultation, accommodation and related issues. She also provides ongoing legal advice and support regarding general business and commercial matters to a number of clients in a variety of industries.
