Environmental Prosecutions

Lawson Lundell’s Environmental Prosecutions Group has extensive experience in regulatory investigations and prosecutions. Members of the group have advised and represented clients in the forestry, hydroelectric, manufacturing, retailing, mining and oil and gas industries who have been investigated, and prosecuted for regulatory violations across Canada. We have been particularly successful in resolving investigations before they become prosecutions.

Our lawyers have been closely involved in providing legal advice and representation in all aspects of regulatory prosecution including:

  • Dealing with investigators in the investigation phase
  • Representing clients in the search warrant process

  • Representing clients in the courts where prosecutions have been brought
