Marjorie’s practice focuses on a broad range of domestic tax matters, including domestic income and commodity taxation matters. Marjorie represents clients in disputes at the audit and appeal levels of Canada Revenue Agency as well as disputes with provincial taxation authorities. She also has experience in tax litigation matters.

Marjorie also advises clients on corporate law matters. She has assisted clients with the preparation and negotiation of various agreements such as sale and purchase agreements and shareholders’ agreements.

Prior to practising law, Marjorie worked as a tax manager in a medium-sized firm of Chartered Accountants and completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Course. Before joining the firm, Marjorie clerked at the Tax Court of Canada in Ottawa, Ontario.

  • voluntary disclosures of previously unreported taxable income
  • provincial sales tax issues
  • corporate governance issues
