Ken practices corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions and insolvency and restructuring matters. He acts for vendors and purchasers, lenders and borrowers, lessors and lessees, debtors and creditors in a wide range of industries. Ken has significant experience in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, secured and unsecured financing and banking transactions, capital and off balance sheet lease transactions and project financing matters in addition to his extensive experience with bankruptcy and insolvency matters.

- A Calgary based multinational oil and gas company with respect to insolvency and insolvency loss prevention matters such as the treatment of derivative contracts and forward contracts on insolvency
- A Schedule 1 bank in respect of a $400 million syndicated loan facility to a Calgary based multinational oil and gas company
- A U.S. based oil and gas company to structure and document a US$1.3 billion cross-border financing transaction
- A U.S. multinational oil services company in the purchase out of receivership of a large Calgary based multinational oil and gas services company
- A significant Canadian pipeline construction company in connection with the construction contracts for a gas pipeline
- A consortium of multinational oil and gas companies to negotiate and document the security for a significant off-shore oil and gas project
- A U.S. based multinational locomotive manufacturer in connection with A multijurisdictional leveraged lease transaction with a significant railway company in Mexico
- A financial advisor to a Calgary based oil and gas producer which was under the protection of Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act
