David has extensive experience focused on advising private and public company clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and restructurings, as well as corporate governance issues and regulatory and stock exchange compliance. He has represented and worked closely with significant businesses in a variety of industries, including forestry, financial services, transportation, retail and technology, as well as with emerging growth companies and entrepreneurs.

David has represented and worked closely with significant businesses in a variety of industries, including forestry, financial services, transportation, retail and technology, as well as with emerging growth companies and entrepreneurs, including as follows:

  • Acted for a major public forestry company on a number of transactions involving the acquisition or sale of forest tenures and production facilities
  • Acted for the underwriters in connection with an $100 million initial public offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange in 2008
  • Acted for an investment manager in connection with the sale of its business in multiple jurisdictions to a public financial services company
  • Acted for a Canada wide retailer in connection with the establishment, financing and operation of its business as a limited partnership
  • Acted for a private bio technology company in connection with successive series’ of convertible note financings
  • Negotiation for forestry products companies of long term fibre supply contracts
  • Acted for clients in numerous other share and asset sale transactions as well as in the drafting and negotiation of major business agreements
